Fire starting at a tire shop in Esenyurt spreads to 6 businesses

A fire that broke out at a tire shop in Esenyurt, Istanbul, during the night spread to 4 adjacent businesses and a catering company. The fire was brought under control and extinguished after approximately 2 hours of intervention by firefighting teams.

The incident occurred at around 02:30 at the businesses on Nazım Hikmet Boulevard in the Yeşilkent neighborhood. According to the information obtained, flames rose for an as-yet undetermined reason at the tire shop, which is part of a row of adjacent buildings.

The fire grew in a short time and spread to the surrounding businesses. Upon notification by local residents who noticed the flames, numerous teams were dispatched to the region via the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Firefighting teams from Esenyurt and surrounding districts carried out extensive work in the area to prevent the flames from spreading further.

While cooling efforts continue at the businesses and the catering company, security measures have been taken in the surrounding area.
