Forest fire in Foça caused by a vehicle catching fire

A fire that started from a vehicle and spread to a wooded area in the Foça district of İzmir has been brought under control with aerial and ground interventions.
The fire broke out at 16:23 in the Güntayımı locality of Yenifoça, Foça district. Citizens who saw the fire, which started from a vehicle and spread to the wooded area, reported the situation to the 112 emergency call center.

Upon the report, 2 helicopters, 8 fire trucks, 4 water supply vehicles, and 2 bulldozer teams affiliated with the İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry were dispatched to the scene. With the effective intervention of the teams, the fire in both the vehicle and the wooded area was brought under control and extinguished. It was learned that cooling efforts are continuing in the region.
