A fire broke out for an as-yet undetermined reason at a mattress factory on Yıldırım Beyazıt Street in the Büğdüz neighborhood of the Akyurt district in the capital, Ankara.
Upon receiving the report, firefighting teams from the Akyurt Station arrived at the scene and made the initial intervention to the fire, which grew rapidly, while tanker trucks were dispatched as reinforcements from the Kuzey Ankara, Çubuk, and Bağlum stations.
A foam tower and a fire truck were directed to the scene from the Central Station.
While it was stated that employees at the factory were evacuated, the teams' efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing.
