The General Directorate of Meteorology has shared the weather report for March 21, 2025. According to the report, the weather will be partly to very cloudy across most of Turkey, with showers, snowfall, and strong winds expected to be effective.
WHICH REGIONS ARE EXPECTED TO RECEIVE PRECIPITATION?
According to forecasts, intermittent precipitation will be seen in the eastern part of the Marmara region, the eastern part of Central Anatolia, the Black Sea region, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, as well as the surroundings of Balıkesir, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, and Hatay.
The characteristics of the precipitation are as follows:
In the eastern part of Marmara (excluding Bilecik), the western part of Southeastern Anatolia, and some provinces, it will be in the form of rain and showers.
In other regions, it will be in the form of sleet and snow. It was reported that precipitation could be locally heavy, especially on the coasts of the Central Black Sea and in some eastern provinces.

Air temperatures will continue to hover below seasonal norms.
Wind:
Generally light and moderate from northern directions.
It is expected to blow from southern directions in the southeastern regions.
In the Southern Aegean and the Mediterranean, the wind is expected to blow strongly at speeds of 40-70 km/h, occasionally reaching storm force.
In the interior and eastern parts:
Icing and frost events, as well as mist and fog, are expected.
There is a risk of avalanches, especially in high and sloped areas.

It is estimated that the region will be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation in the east of the region and the surroundings of Balıkesir. Precipitation is expected to be generally in the form of rain and showers, and sleet and snow in the surroundings of Bilecik. Mist and local fog are expected in the south of the region during the morning and night hours.
AEGEAN
It is estimated that the weather will be partly to very cloudy. The wind is expected to blow from northern directions in the Southern Aegean as strong and occasionally short-term storms (40-70 km/h). It is estimated that icing and frost, along with mist and local fog, will be seen in the interior parts of the region during the morning and night hours.
MEDITERRANEAN
It is estimated that the weather will be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent rain and showers in the surroundings of Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye, and Hatay. The wind is expected to blow from northern directions across the region as strong and occasionally short-term storms (40-70 km/h).
CENTRAL ANATOLIA
It is estimated that the weather will be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent snowfall in the east of the region. Icing and frost, along with mist and local fog, are expected across the region during the morning and night hours.
WESTERN BLACK SEA
It is estimated that the weather will be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation across the region. Precipitation is expected to be in the form of rain and sleet in coastal areas, and snow in the interior. It is estimated that icing and frost, along with mist and local fog, will be seen in the interior parts of the region during the morning and night hours.
CENTRAL and EASTERN BLACK SEA
Very cloudy, it is estimated that the region will experience intermittent precipitation. Precipitation is expected to be in the form of rain and sleet in coastal areas, and snow in the interior. Precipitation is estimated to be locally heavy on the coasts of the Central Black Sea and in the surroundings of Giresun. Icing and frost are expected in the interior parts of the region during the morning and night hours. There is an avalanche danger in the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea.
EASTERN ANATOLIA
Very cloudy, it is estimated that the region will experience intermittent sleet and snowfall. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Ardahan, Kars, Erzurum, Muş, Bingöl, Elazığ, Bitlis, Şırnak, and Hakkari. Icing and frost are expected during the morning and night hours. There is an avalanche danger on the high and sloped slopes of the region.
SOUTHEASTERN ANATOLIA
Very cloudy, it is estimated that the region will experience intermittent rain and showers, with sleet in higher altitudes. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Diyarbakır, Siirt, and Batman.
