In the Darende district of Malatya, a person who was struck in the chest with a stone during an armed and stone-throwing brawl between two related families lost his life after his heart ruptured.

The incident occurred during the day in the Nurkuyusu Neighborhood of the Darende district. According to allegations, an armed and stone-throwing brawl broke out between members of two related families who had a long-standing feud. During the brawl, Y.B. and Murat B. were injured as a result of the assault.

While gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification, Murat B., who was determined to have had his heart ruptured after being struck in the chest with a stone, lost his life at the district state hospital to which he had been taken.

The investigation launched into the incident, in which 8 people were taken into custody, is ongoing.
