Heavy rain and downpours are coming!
The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that very heavy downpours are expected along the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, as well as in the vicinity of Artvin and Ardahan. In Çeşme, the site of a wildfire, the danger of strong winds continues. Cool weather will prevail in the Marmara region, while scorching temperatures will be effective in the south.

According to the weather report from the General Directorate of Meteorology for July 3, 2025, cool weather will continue to prevail in the Black Sea region. Additionally, very heavy downpours are expected today along the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, as well as in the vicinity of Artvin and Ardahan. In the Marmara region, cool and dry weather will be effective. Scorching temperatures will continue to affect the Mediterranean, Aegean, and Southeastern Anatolia regions. Finally, strong winds will continue to be a factor today in Çeşme, where a forest fire is ongoing.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE TODAY?
In the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology for today, it was reported that the northern parts of our country will be partly to, in places, very cloudy, with local downpours and thunderstorms expected in the Central Black Sea coasts, the Eastern Black Sea, the northeast of Eastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Bartın, Karabük, Kastamonu, Sinop, and Tokat, while other areas will be mostly clear and sunny.
Air temperatures are expected to hover 1-3 degrees below seasonal norms in the northern and inner parts, and 1-3 degrees above norms along the western and southern coasts of the country. It was stated that the wind will blow strongly (40-60 km/h) in the south of Marmara, the Aegean coasts, Central Anatolia, the east of the Eastern Mediterranean, and the west of Eastern Anatolia.

Since the downpours and thunderstorms expected in the northeast of our country are forecast to be locally heavy along the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea and in the vicinity of Artvin and Ardahan, it is necessary to be careful and cautious against potential negative consequences.
