ISIS operation in İzmir: 20 detained

In the Menemen district of İzmir, 20 suspects were detained in an operation targeting members of an organization operating in support of ISIS.

Within the scope of investigations conducted by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau into the ISIS armed terrorist organization, an operation was launched to apprehend 20 suspects who were operating in the Menemen district in support of ISIS.

20 PEOPLE DETAINED

In the operations carried out last Saturday, 20 suspects were apprehended and detained.

During searches of the suspects' homes, weapons, organizational books, and a large number of digital materials were seized.

It was stated that the processing of the individuals at the police station is ongoing.
