An aircraft belonging to Israel's El Al Airlines, which took off from Warsaw, Poland, landed at Antalya Airport after a passenger named Sharon Nevo fell ill. After the passenger, Sharon Nevo, who suffered from respiratory distress, was deplaned by medical teams, the aircraft continued its journey. It was learned that the Israeli aircraft would fly to Rhodes for refueling and then proceed to Tel Aviv.

Regarding the El Al aircraft that landed in Antalya, sources stated, "Permission was granted for the aircraft to make an emergency landing due to the ill passenger. Fuel was going to be provided to the aircraft for humanitarian reasons, but while the relevant procedure was about to be completed, the captain decided to depart of his own volition."
Some reports in the Israeli media had alleged that Antalya Airport officials refused to provide fuel to the aircraft because the airline traveling from Warsaw to Tel Aviv was based in Israel.
