Landslide in Eyüpsultan following heavy rainfall: 25 people evacuated as a precaution

A landslide occurred in Eyüpsultan following heavy rainfall that affected Istanbul in the evening hours. The incident took place around 01:00 at Sayfiye Street in the Merkez neighborhood.

Upon reports from local residents who noticed the soil sliding in the green area on the street, fire, police, and municipal police teams were dispatched to the region. The teams secured the area and brought it under control.

Following the initial inspection by the fire department, 25 people living in the apartment building adjacent to the area where the soil slid were evacuated as a precaution.

It was learned that a detailed inspection of the evacuated building and the area where the landslide occurred will be conducted during daylight hours.
