The fire that broke out yesterday afternoon in the Doğanca neighborhood of Gazipaşa spread rapidly due to the wind. The fire continues to affect forested areas in the Doğanca, Gürçam, and Çile neighborhoods. Due to the dangerous approach of the flames, all houses in the Gürçam neighborhood were evacuated as a precaution.

The ground intervention, which continued throughout the night with fire trucks and heavy machinery, was joined by numerous helicopters and planes at daybreak. These aircraft are supporting the extinguishing efforts by transporting water taken from fire ponds and the sea to the affected areas.

Firefighting teams in the region are working intensely to prevent the spread of the flames with fire trucks, heavy machinery, fire engines, and forestry workers.

Teams are also intervening both from the air and on the ground in the fire that started yesterday afternoon in the Söğüt Plateau of Alanya. Efforts to bring the fire under control are continuing in the region without interruption.
