While hot weather continues to affect Turkey throughout September, the General Directorate of Meteorology has released its latest weather assessment. Accordingly, partly to very cloudy weather is expected in the northeastern parts of the country.
According to the forecasts, downpours and thunderstorms will be seen along the Central and Eastern Black Sea coasts and in the vicinity of Sinop and Artvin. In other regions, the weather is expected to be mostly clear and sunny.
El Nino has also come to the agenda again during this period of continued hot weather. Strong El Nino periods can increase the likelihood of global temperature records and can lead to changes in temperature, precipitation, and wind patterns.
These changes can affect not only daily weather conditions but also areas such as energy demand, production, and trade balances. However, the latest assessment shared did not include a specific date or a separate warning regarding the impact of El Nino on Turkey.
