Meteorology issues heavy rainfall warning for Rize and Artvin

The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in certain parts of the Eastern Black Sea region.
According to the latest assessments by the MGM, locally heavy rainfall is expected in the Pazar, Ardeşen, and Fındıklı districts of Rize, as well as the Arhavi, Hopa, and Kemalpaşa districts of Artvin.
The rainfall, which reportedly began at 01:00, is expected to remain effective until 12:00. The meteorological service has warned citizens to be cautious and take precautions against negative consequences such as flash floods, inundation, landslides, lightning strikes, and disruptions to transportation.
