Meteorology issues warning: Downpours and storms are coming!

According to the latest forecast report published by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the weather in the northern parts of the country will be partly to very cloudy in places. Local downpours and thunderstorms are expected in the east of Marmara, the Black Sea region (excluding Gümüşhane and Bayburt), and the northeast of Eastern Anatolia.

STRONG WAVE IN WIND: ATTENTION MARMARA AND AEGEAN!

The report stated that strong winds will be effective throughout the day in the Marmara and Aegean regions. Authorities called on citizens to be cautious against potential negative effects such as roof damage, fallen trees, and disruptions in transportation.

AIR TEMPERATURE

Air temperatures are expected to be 1-3 degrees below seasonal norms in the Black Sea, around normal in the interior, and above normal in other areas.

HEAVY RAIN WARNING

According to the latest assessments; since the thunderstorms expected in the Eastern Black Sea after noon are expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Ordu and Giresun and the west of Trabzon, it is necessary to be careful and cautious against negative effects such as flash floods, flooding, lightning, and strong winds during precipitation.

STRONG WIND WARNING

According to the latest assessments; since the wind in the Marmara and Aegean regions is expected to blow strongly from northern directions (40-60 km/h) and as a storm with gusts in places along the Aegean coastline (70-80 km/h), it is necessary to be careful and cautious against potential negative effects.
