Missing child in Bursa searched for 3 days: 100-person team established

13-year-old Burak Koçak, who left his home in Bursa's Orhaneli district to go to school, has not been heard from since Thursday, June 5. While his family reported him missing to the gendarmerie in the morning hours, search efforts have been continuing uninterrupted for three days.
Numerous units including AFAD, JAK, gendarmerie, UMKE, ANDA, MAGDER, KUMDAK, İNDAK, and IHH have been involved in the region. A search team of approximately 100 people is conducting operations at checkpoints, in forested areas, and on plateaus with the support of 4 drones, 5 tracking dogs, and 16 vehicles.
According to information provided by DHA and IHA reporters, security camera footage taken at the time Burak left home to go to school is being examined. After he did not board the school bus, the teams are in possession of footage showing him walking in the village square.
AUTHORITIES ARE HOPEFUL
Orhaneli District Governor Muhammed Furkan Tuna and Mayor Ali Osman Tayır are coordinating the operations on the ground and receiving updates. Mother Hanife Koçak stated that they are assisting the teams and providing all kinds of support.
