The 4.9 magnitude earthquake recorded in the Kemah district of Erzincan caused dangerous moments in the region. On the road to Hakbilir village, near the epicenter of the tremor, large boulders broke off from the slopes due to the earthquake and rolled onto the road. The incident was captured moment by moment by a security camera in the area.

In the footage, giant rocks are seen hurtling onto the road at high speed; the fact that no vehicles or pedestrians were passing by at the time prevented a potential loss of life.

Following the earthquake, Kemah Mayor Cevdet Bayram visited the region to conduct inspections. Identifying the spots where rockfalls occurred on-site, Bayram announced that checks conducted in the village center and its surroundings revealed no serious negative incidents other than the rockfalls on the road. Stating that necessary security measures have been taken, Bayram warned citizens to remain cautious.

Authorities reported that field teams are continuing their inspection and monitoring efforts in the region.
