‘No cigarettes’ murder in Adana: 1 child lost their life, 2 injured, 5 children arrested
In Adana, a 17-year-old youth lost his life and his two older brothers were injured after being attacked with knives by a group that had asked them for cigarettes on the street. The 5 suspects, aged between 16 and 17, were arrested by the court.

A knife attack that took place in the evening in the Çukurova district of Adana resulted in the death of a young man.
CIGARETTE DISPUTE ENDS IN BLOOD
Four brothers walking on Adnan Menderes Boulevard were intercepted by 5 individuals aged between 16 and 17. Allegedly, the suspects asked the brothers for cigarettes. The argument that broke out after the response "we don't have any cigarettes" escalated quickly.
The suspects attacked the brothers with knives they were carrying. Erdoğan Ertaş (17) and his older brothers Yakup (21) and Haydar Ertaş (21) were injured in the attack.
17-YEAR-OLD YOUTH COULD NOT BE SAVED
Upon notification by bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that Erdoğan Ertaş had lost his life. The two injured brothers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
5 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Taking action after the incident, police teams detained 5 suspects identified as being involved in the attack. The suspects, whose procedures were completed at the Juvenile Branch Directorate, were referred to the courthouse.
The suspects were arrested by the on-duty criminal judgeship of peace and sent to prison.
