Operation against fake bungalow scammers
In Sakarya, 50 people were detained in an operation targeting a gang that committed fraud through fake bungalow advertisements on social media. It was reported that the suspects gained 263 thousand liras in illicit profit and that 15 million liras worth of assets were seized.

The Sakarya Police Department's Cyber Crimes Branch conducted a large-scale operation in coordination with the chief public prosecutor's offices of Pamukova and Geyve.
The operation, carried out on charges of 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes', 'qualified fraud', and 'laundering assets obtained from crime', was conducted simultaneously in 13 provinces, with Sakarya as the hub.
50 suspects were detained in raids carried out in Adana, Mersin, Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Samsun, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaraş, Şırnak, Bitlis, Konya, Ankara, and Malatya.
It was determined that the suspects created fake accounts by imitating the social media profiles of bungalow businesses in the Sapanca district of Sakarya and defrauded citizens with the promise of vacation reservations through these accounts. It was determined that they obtained a total of 263 thousand liras in illicit profit using this method.
During the searches, numerous GSM lines, bank cards, unlicensed pistols, cartridges, and 12 coins thought to be historical artifacts were seized. Additionally, 10 passenger vehicles worth 15 million liras and jewelry worth 1 million 100 thousand liras, which were assessed to have been obtained from crime, were confiscated.
