Operation against thieves who stole 3 million liras worth of cables from construction sites

Seven suspects have been detained in a simultaneous operation targeting the theft of 3 million liras worth of cables and construction materials from five separate construction sites in Avcılar, Küçükçekmece, and Şişli. Of the 7 suspects detained, 5 were arrested and sent to prison, while the moment of the theft was captured on camera.

Teams from the Burglary and Pickpocketing Bureau of the Public Security Branch conducted a simultaneous operation at the identified addresses of suspects involved in the theft of 3 million liras worth of cables and construction materials from five separate construction sites in the Avcılar, Küçükçekmece, and Şişli districts. Within the scope of the operation, 7 suspects were detained during raids on 23 addresses in the Avcılar and Esenler districts, following technical and physical surveillance efforts that had been ongoing since April 17 to identify the 14 suspects involved.

5 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

During the searches conducted at the addresses as part of the operation, 2 unlicensed pistols and 2 pump-action shotguns were seized. Of the 7 suspects captured, 5 were arrested and sent to prison. The remaining 2 suspects were released under judicial control conditions. Efforts to apprehend the other suspects are ongoing.
