One person died and 19 people were injured in a chain-reaction traffic accident involving a passenger bus, a semi-truck, and a car in Gaziantep.

A chain-reaction traffic accident involving a passenger bus, a semi-truck, and a car occurred near the Nurdağı junction of the Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep (TAG) Highway.

Following the accident, the semi-truck and the car caught fire. Upon notification, police, gendarmerie, medical, and firefighting teams were dispatched to the area.

The fire was extinguished after approximately 1 hour of work by the teams. The 20 people injured in the accident were taken to surrounding hospitals by ambulances.

Veysel Feyda (37), the bus attendant among those transferred to Nurdağı State Hospital, could not be saved despite medical intervention.

Nurdağı District Governor Nurullah Cemil Erciyas arrived at the scene and received information from the authorities.

Many passengers who were on the bus were taken to the Nurdağı District Gendarmerie Command due to the cold weather.

Due to the accident, the Adana-Nurdağı direction of the TAG Highway has been closed to traffic for approximately 2 hours.
