Seven Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices developed by ASELSAN have been put into operation at the İpsala Border Gate in Edirne.

These devices, which enable patients to return to life by applying electric shocks in cases of sudden cardiac arrest, have been placed in various areas of the border gate.

Atacan Helvacıoğlu, an authorized dealer for ASELSAN Heartline AED devices, stated in a press release that a significant development in the field of health has taken place at the İpsala Border Gate, where more than 3 million people pass through each year.

Helvacıoğlu said, "Seven domestically produced ASELSAN Heartline AED devices have been installed at the border gate by İpsala UMAT Customs and Tourism Enterprises Inc. These devices have the potential to save lives by offering the opportunity for intervention within seconds in cases of sudden cardiac arrest."

Stating that the staff have received training to use the devices effectively, Helvacıoğlu added, "In this way, the İpsala Border Gate has become a much safer crossing point for passengers."
