Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) is making public transport free for students and exam officials who will participate in the High School Entrance System (LGS) exam and the Sub-Specialty Training Entrance Exam (YDUS) taking place in Istanbul on Sunday, June 2. Istanbulkart holders will be able to benefit from the free transport service valid on Metro Istanbul, IETT, and City Lines by showing their exam documents.
IMM is taking additional measures to maintain exam concentration. Work that could distract students will be halted during exam hours, and construction site work schedules will be adjusted according to exam times. Furthermore, the IMM Police Department officers will be actively on duty to ensure quietness throughout the duration of the exams.
ADDITIONAL TRIPS ON 70 LINES
IETT and City Lines will organize additional trips for the day of the exam. 28 additional trips are planned on 23 lines on the European side, and 86 additional trips on 47 lines on the Anatolian side. City Lines will organize additional trips at specific times in addition to regular services. With these measures, a safer and more comfortable environment will be provided for students' transport on the day of the exam.
Those who wish to benefit from the free public transport, which will be valid for both exams, will only need to show their exam documents or official duty documents. The free transport opportunity, which begins 2 hours before the start of the exam, will continue until 2 hours after the end of the exam.
