Istanbul residents trying to get to work on Monday morning faced difficult moments in traffic due to the heavy rainfall. According to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's traffic map, traffic density across the city reached 74 percent. The map showed major roads colored in red.
A multi-vehicle traffic accident, which occurred particularly on the Sultanbeyli-Kurtköy Junction direction of the TEM Highway, further negatively impacted traffic. While the vehicles involved in the accident were moved to the emergency lane, traffic congestion continues in the area.
