Research reveals! Turkey's most friendly and most hostile countries identified

In a survey conducted by ASAL Research, Turkey's most friendly and most hostile countries were determined. While 52.2 percent of participants considered Syria a friendly country, Israel was identified as the most hostile. The rate of those who view Israel as hostile rose to 83.5 percent.

The results of a survey conducted by ASAL Research between February 15-22 with 2,000 people using the CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) method have been shared with the public.


"SYRIA IS TURKEY'S BEST FRIEND"

"Who is a friend and who is an enemy to Turkey?" In the survey titled, citizens were asked the question, "What is your opinion regarding the relations of the following countries with Turkey?"

According to the participants; Syria was declared a friendly country with 52.2 percent, followed by China.

The rate of those who view China as a friend was 37.8 percent.


'MOST HOSTILE' COUNTRY IDENTIFIED

In the survey, while only for Syria and China was the rate of those saying "friend" higher than those saying "enemy"; the country viewed as the most hostile was Israel. While the rate of those who view Israel as an enemy was 83.5 percent, this rate was recorded as 74.9 percent for the USA, which is seen as the most hostile. 


WHAT DID CITIZENS SAY ABOUT 'GREECE'?

While the rate of those who said Greece is a friend was 30.3 percent; the rate of those who said it is an enemy was 35.1 percent. The rate of those who said they have no opinion was recorded as 26.3 percent.
