"LEAVE KONYA" MESSAGES ENTERED INTO THE FILE
Following the investigation conducted by the Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a lawsuit was filed against the detained defendant with a request for aggravated life imprisonment on the charge of "premeditated murder against a woman." The indictment included information that the defendant had worked as a Turkish teacher at private tutoring centers for many years, despite dropping out of the faculty of education.
In the examination of his phone, it was determined that the defendant had sent a message to Ebru Küçüktaşdemir on the day of the incident saying, "Is there any place other than prison? This will end today. Everything is over for me. If you have any sense, leave Konya." It was also included in the file that the suspect had searched for "hunting knife Konya" on the internet approximately 6 hours before the murder.
"THEY ARE SLANDERING ME" DEFENSE
At the final hearing of the case held at the Konya 4th High Criminal Court, the defendant Abdullah Küçüktaşdemir was present via the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS). When the court panel asked for his final words, the defendant stated, "I am not obsessed with money; they are slandering me. I have 'Ebru' written on my arm with infinity signs at the beginning and the end. I did not send my wife to eternity. Our home was destroyed because of my wife's mother."
The court panel did not take the defendant's defense into account and sentenced Abdullah Küçüktaşdemir to aggravated life imprisonment without any reduction.
