34-year-old M.S., who lives in the district, went to the police station on January 11 and reported that her 4-year-old son, E.Ç., had gone missing.
M.S., who gave contradictory statements at the police station, drew the attention of the police teams. During questioning, the mother confessed that she had killed her 4-year-old son, E.Ç., whom she had with her ex-husband, in July 2024 and dumped his body in the district's landfill.
M.S., who was taken into custody, was arrested by the judge at the courthouse to which she was referred following her processing at the police station.
Police teams conducted a search in the landfill with cadaver dogs. The search was called off after the body could not be found.
