Some roads in Ankara to be closed to traffic today: Here are the affected routes

Due to the "2026-2027 Academic Year Commencement and Collective Opening Ceremony" to be held in Ankara today, traffic arrangements will be made on certain routes.

The Ankara Police Department announced that due to the program to be held at Gazi Anatolian High School at 14:00, some roads will be closed to vehicle traffic starting from 06:30 until the end of the program.

According to the statement, Hitit Boulevard, Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Street, 1656, 1699, 5346, and 5350 streets, as well as all routes connecting to these roads, will be closed to traffic in both directions if necessary.

It was noted that the traffic arrangement could create congestion in the city on the first day of school, and drivers were warned to use alternative routes. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is also expected to attend the opening ceremony at Gazi Anatolian High School.
