Suicide attempt at Vezneciler metro station

The Vezneciler station on the M2 Yenikapı–Hacıosman Metro Line has been temporarily closed following a passenger's suicide attempt. Metro İstanbul announced that, following this incident, trains are continuing their journeys without stopping at the Vezneciler station.

In a statement made on Metro İstanbul's social media account, it was stated, "Due to a suicide attempt at the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line Vezneciler station, the station has been closed to operations. Our trains are continuing their journeys without stopping at Vezneciler."

Authorities stated that security and technical investigations are ongoing following the incident. It was reported that metro services at other stations are continuing as planned.
