Ş.A. (32), who called his legally wedded wife F.A., who is in Burdur, via video call and hurled threats, held a bread knife to his 3-year-old son's throat. While the mother, who watched those moments on the phone, experienced horror, the footage caused outrage on social media.
Users, who tried to report the incident to police units with numerous shares, posted messages of anger regarding the cruel father.
After the footage spread rapidly, it was revealed that the individual named Ş.A. resided in İzmir. Teams from the Karabağlar District Police Department's Bureau for Combating Domestic Violence and Violence Against Women apprehended and detained the cruel father in a short time.
HE DEFENDED HIMSELF BY SAYING 'THE VIDEO IS OLD'
It was learned that Ş.A., who was taken into custody, denied the accusations in his initial statement to the police by claiming that the video was old. As he was being taken out of the police building to be referred to the courthouse following his procedures, Ş.A. responded to questions from members of the press by saying, "I didn't do anything to anyone."
CHILDREN ARE UNDER STATE PROTECTION
Meanwhile, it was learned that the couple has two children, Y.C.A. (7) and B.A. (3), whose throat was held at knifepoint, and that they have been taken under protection at the Karşıyaka Children's Home affiliated with the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
