Due to programs to be held at the Yenikapı Event Area in Istanbul, temporary traffic regulations have been implemented in the region. The Istanbul Police Department announced that some roads in Fatih will be closed to vehicle traffic on certain days and hours until August 16.
The regulation will be in effect between August 1 and August 16. However, August 3 and August 10 will be excluded from the scope. It was reported that the closures will last from 12:00 PM until the end of the programs.
In this context, the Kadir Topbaş Performance Center junction from the coastal north and south side roads, the Vefa Karakurdu Overpass, and the secondary road remaining in the inner section between the Yenikapı Rally Area and the Yenikapı İDO terminal will be closed to traffic.
Kennedy Avenue on the coastal line has been designated as an alternative route for drivers. Authorities stated that drivers heading to the region should pay attention to traffic signs and directions.
Metro İstanbul also announced that service hours on some lines have been extended due to the 5th Istanbul Festival to be held at the Yenikapı Festival Park Event Area. Accordingly, services on the M1A Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport, M1B Yenikapı-Kirazlı, M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman, M4 Kadıköy-Sabiha Gökçen Airport, M5 Üsküdar-Sultanbeyli, and M6 Levent-Boğaziçi University/Hisarüstü lines will continue until 00:30 AM.
