In Eyüpsultan, two people who got into a taxi as passengers at night first beat the driver and then robbed him before fleeing. While the injured taxi driver was taken to the hospital, the moments of the attack were reflected on the vehicle's dashcam.

On May 8, around 21:30, two people got into the vehicle of Gökhan A., who works as a taxi driver in the Yeşilpınar neighborhood of Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district. Allegedly, the suspect sitting in the back seat wrapped a rope he was holding around the driver's neck, sparking an argument.
Shortly after, the two people in the vehicle attacked and began beating the taxi driver. The attackers fled the scene after robbing the taxi driver.
Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Gökhan A., who received his first intervention at the scene, was taken to the hospital by ambulance and placed under treatment. Police teams have launched an investigation to apprehend the fleeing suspects. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The scuffle that took place inside the taxi was recorded by the vehicle's dashcam. In the footage, it is seen that the suspects first shook hands with the taxi driver, followed by a brief argument.
The continuing footage shows the attackers beating the taxi driver, and later, the moments when they noticed the dashcam and tried to turn it off to prevent recording.
