Tragic accident in Burdur following the one in Antalya! 7 people lost their lives

In a collision between two cars on the Antalya–Isparta road, 7 people lost their lives and 5 were injured. While the injured were transferred to nearby hospitals, an investigation into the incident has been launched.

Following the accident involving a passenger bus in Antalya that claimed eight lives, another piece of tragic news has arrived, this time from Burdur.

In the accident that occurred around 11:00 on the Antalya–Isparta highway, a Peugeot-brand car with license plate 34 FF 2118 and another vehicle with license plate 07 BNE 490 collided after coming from opposite directions. According to initial findings, 7 people lost their lives at the scene, and 5 people were injured.

Upon notification, numerous health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region. After receiving initial intervention at the scene, the injured were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulance. It was learned that some of the injured, whose conditions are critical, were transferred to hospitals in Isparta.

The teams' investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.

"The traffic accidents that occurred this morning in Antalya and Burdur have deeply saddened us.

In the traffic accident that occurred in the Döşemealtı district of Antalya on the Antalya-Burdur highway when a passenger bus overturned into a ditch, unfortunately, according to initial findings, 8 of our citizens have lost their lives and 26 of our citizens have been injured.

In the traffic accident that occurred in the Yumrutaş village area of the Ağlasun district of Burdur due to the collision of two vehicles, unfortunately, 7 of our citizens have lost their lives and 5 of our citizens have been injured.

I wish God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives in the accidents, condolences to their grieving families and relatives, and a speedy recovery to our injured.
