3 dead in Ataşehir hotel fire

Three people who were critically injured in a fire at a hotel in Ataşehir, Istanbul, have lost their lives.

A fire broke out for an unknown reason on the basement floor of a 3-story hotel on Üsküdar Street in the Ferhatpaşa neighborhood of Istanbul's Ataşehir district.

Upon notification, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the specified address.

Those trapped due to smoke engulfing all floors of the hotel were brought down from the terrace using fire department ladders.

Five people, three of whom were in critical condition, were injured in the fire and taken to hospitals by ambulance.

While the fire was brought under control as a result of the intervention by fire crews, smoke evacuation was carried out in the building for a while.

Meanwhile, it was observed that medical teams performed CPR for minutes in an ambulance on one of the critically injured individuals.

3 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

According to reports by İHA, three foreign national women who worked at the spa and were critically injured in the hotel fire lost their lives at the hospital where they were receiving treatment. The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the Forensic Medicine Institute.

POLICE TEAMS CONDUCTED AN INVESTIGATION

Crime scene investigation teams conducted a comprehensive examination inside the hotel and collected evidence. Police teams have launched an investigation into the incident.
