Two hot air balloons that took off from the Ihlara Valley, one of Aksaray's tourist attractions, have crashed in the Gözlükuyu area for reasons yet to be determined.

Aksaray Governor Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoğlu reported that the pilot lost his life and 19 tourists were injured as a result of the hot air balloon's hard landing.

Kumbuzoğlu stated that the hot air balloon, which took off from the Ihlara Valley in the direction of Hasan Mountain, made a hard landing near the village of Gözlükuyu.

Stating that the pilot lost his life in the accident, Kumbuzoğlu said that 19 Indonesian tourists were injured.

Noting that the pilot fell from the basket because his feet got tangled in a rope, Kumbuzoğlu said, "Unfortunately, our pilot remained under the basket and passed away. Our tourists are in good condition. We have transported them to the hospital by ambulance. Their examinations are being conducted."
