In an incident that occurred in the Sungurlu district of Çorum, a person was seriously injured after being shot in the head when a gun accidentally discharged inside a parked light commercial vehicle. The unfortunate moments were captured moment-by-moment by a security camera at a nearby business.
The incident took place near the City Park. The driver, Ş.T., and his companion, B.K., arrived at the park in a vehicle with the license plate 19 AAE 600. While they were sitting in the vehicle, a person named M.K. approached them. The three chatted inside the vehicle for a while. During this time, a gun inside the vehicle suddenly discharged for an unknown reason. The bullet from the gun struck M.K., who was outside the vehicle, in the head.
The seriously injured M.K. was rushed to Sungurlu State Hospital by his friends. Following initial intervention, the victim, whose condition was critical, was transferred to Çorum Hitit University Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, Ş.T. and B.K., who were in the vehicle, were taken into custody by police teams. Security units have launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
