Moment a fairy chimney collapses in Cappadocia caught on camera
A large section of a fairy chimney located in the Cappadocia region, which is on the UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage list, broke off and collapsed during the night. The moment was captured second by second on a security camera at a nearby business.

In the Gaferli neighborhood of the town of Göreme, a large part of a fairy chimney collapsed during the night for reasons yet unknown. While rock fragments from the fairy chimney scattered around the area, no one was injured in the incident.
Upon notification, gendarmerie, AFAD, and Cappadocia Site Management officials were dispatched to the region. While gendarmerie and AFAD teams checked to see if anyone was under the fallen rock, the Cappadocia Site Management also began work to remove the debris.
The incident was reflected second by second on security cameras.
