Tension between Zafer Party members and nationalist group in İzmir
A brief period of tension between Zafer Party members and a nationalist group in the Karşıyaka district of İzmir ended after police intervened. While some social media accounts alleged that an object held by one person in the group was a weapon, security camera footage confirmed that the object was a mobile phone.

During a march and press statement organized by the Zafer Party İzmir Provincial Presidency in Karşıyaka Bazaar as part of the May 3 Turkism Day celebrations, an argument broke out between party members and a group identified as nationalists. The argument was calmed following police intervention.
Following the incident, some social media accounts shared posts alleging that an object held by one of the individuals involved in the argument was a weapon.
However, security camera footage that emerged revealed that the object was a mobile phone.
It was learned that an investigation conducted by police teams also confirmed that the object in the individual's hand was clearly a mobile phone.
