Venue staff assault female tourists in Marmaris! District Governor's Office issues statement

In the Marmaris district of Muğla, a verbal argument between female tourists and entertainment venue staff escalated into a fight, leading to the detention of the employees who assaulted the tourists.

Footage of staff at an entertainment venue in the Marmaris district of Muğla assaulting female customers has become a trending topic on social media.

Following the footage, police teams took action and determined that the incident occurred on June 2, 2025, at approximately 23:25. It was established that foreign nationals, whose identities could not be determined, had entered the venue as customers and argued with the staff over the bill, which then escalated into a fight.

As a result of the police investigation, the venue employees identified as M.A., Ş.E., E.S.Y., U.T., and A.A., who were determined to have assaulted the female tourists, were apprehended and taken into custody. While it was learned that the parties did not file complaints against each other, it was reported that judicial and administrative investigations into the incident are ongoing.

The statement issued by the Marmaris District Governor's Office included the following: "It is never possible for us to accept the footage of violence against women that occurred at an establishment serving alcohol in the Armutalan neighborhood on June 2. It should be known that violence against women is never tolerated in Muğla. Our state maintains a firm stance against all forms of violent behavior toward women. The 5 individuals identified as being involved in the incident have been apprehended and handed over to judicial authorities. Judicial and administrative investigations regarding the business and its employees are being conducted meticulously, and developments are being closely monitored in all aspects."
