Chants of 'Turkish troops to Gaza' interrupt Erdoğan's speech

President Erdoğan's speech at the Great Palestine Rally was frequently interrupted by chants of "Turkish troops to Gaza".

As Israel's total blockade and bombardment of Gaza continue for the 22nd day, the Great Palestine Rally was organized by the AK Party Istanbul Provincial Presidency. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed hundreds of thousands of citizens gathered at Atatürk Airport to show support for Palestine.

"TURKISH TROOPS TO GAZA" CHANTS

During President Erdoğan's speech, chants of "Turkish troops to Gaza" rose from the crowd. Erdoğan did not comment on the slogans and continued his speech.

"WE MAY COME SUDDENLY ONE NIGHT"

Targeting Israel in his speech, Erdoğan stated, "Those who shed crocodile tears for civilians killed in the Ukraine-Russia war yesterday are silently watching the deaths of thousands of innocent children today. You shed tears for Ukraine, so why are you silent about the children dying in Gaza? Oh West, I am addressing you. Do you want to stir up a crescent-crusade struggle again? If you are engaged in such an effort, this nation is not dead. This nation is standing tall. We are the same in the Middle East as we were in Libya and Karabakh. They came from tens of thousands of kilometers away under the pretext of fighting terrorism, massacred millions of people, and did not grant us the right to protect our own citizens. Everything we have done in the name of counter-terrorism over the last 10 years, we have achieved despite them. From now on, we will continue to proceed on the path we have drawn for ourselves with the motto that we may come suddenly one night."
