New footage of the explosion in Küçükçekmece
One person lost their life and 7 people were injured, 2 of them seriously, in an explosion that occurred at a workplace in the basement of a building in Küçükçekmece. While new footage of the incident has emerged, the building was also filmed from the air by a drone.

The incident occurred around 15:00 at a workplace used as a warehouse for filling deodorant cans, located in the basement of a 5-story building on Divan Street in the Atatürk neighborhood.
According to the information obtained, a fire broke out as a result of the explosion of an antibacterial spray substance in the warehouse.
Following the sound of the explosion, employees at the workplace and residents in the building were evacuated. In the incident, a 2-year-old child staying in an apartment above the basement was affected by smoke.
One person working in the warehouse lost their life, while 7 people were injured. It was learned that 2 of the injured are in serious condition and are continuing to receive treatment at the hospital. Two vehicles on the street were also damaged due to the explosion.
Following the explosion, numerous fire, medical, police, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams transported the injured to nearby hospitals after initial intervention.
While the police took extensive security measures in the area, fire crews began efforts to extinguish the fire.
With the fire extinguished, the prosecutor and police conducted an investigation at the scene.
In the footage that emerged regarding the incident, the moments of panic among citizens after the explosion can be seen. The footage also reflects the moments when the explosion occurred several times in succession, and the building where the incident took place was filmed from the air by a drone.
On the other hand, in a statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office regarding the explosion, it was stated, "One person lost their life and a total of 7 people, 2 of them seriously, were injured in the explosion that occurred in the Atatürk neighborhood of Küçükçekmece."
