A school in Nigeria collapsed during an exam. 16 students who were trapped under the rubble of the school in the Jos North region of Plateau state lost their lives.
In a statement made by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), it was confirmed that the two-story school collapsed in the morning hours, and it was stated that “NEMA and other organizations are currently conducting search and rescue operations.”
While no explanation has been made yet regarding the cause of the collapse, local residents stated that the incident occurred following heavy rains that had been effective in the state for 3 days.
