2 dead in tornadoes in US state of Oklahoma
According to initial reports, 2 people have lost their lives due to tornadoes that struck the US state of Oklahoma and hit the southern town of Holdenville.

Hughes County Emergency Medical Services stated that the tornadoes, which affected the town of Holdenville in the US state of Oklahoma, which has a population of approximately 5 thousand, caused the deaths of 2 people, including one child, and left 4 others injured.
The state's emergency teams noted that damage occurred to homes and businesses due to severe winds, hail, and flooding.
The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management reported that a hospital was damaged due to the tornadoes and that some roads were closed to traffic after vehicles and utility poles were toppled by the severe winds.
Authorities announced that 33 thousand households across the state were left without electricity.
Governor Kevin Stitt, who declared a "state of emergency" in 12 counties across the state due to the adverse weather conditions, stated, "My prayers are with those who have lost loved ones due to the tornadoes that have occurred in Oklahoma."
