3-year-old becomes a killer

In the U.S. state of Indiana, a 2-year-old baby was killed by their 3-year-old sibling with a gun found in their mother's bag.
In the incident that occurred last Friday, the mother called the police and said that her son had shot his younger sibling. Although the mother, whose name was not shared, rushed her wounded child to the hospital, the interventions were not enough to save the two-year-old baby.
While the medical examiner determined the incident was an accident, it was reported that investigations by the prosecutor's office are ongoing.
No charges have been filed against the children's mother.
The police department called on citizens in the state to purchase a secure gun safe or a gun lock.
The mayor and the police chief appeared before the cameras and stated that the incident is a reminder that all types of firearms must be stored securely, out of the reach of children.
