34 Democrats call on Biden to 'withdraw from candidacy' in the US

Calls for US President Joe Biden to "withdraw from his candidacy" are growing following his poor performance in the live televised debate he participated in on June 27 against the Republican Party's presidential nominee and former President Donald Trump.

So far, a total of 34 Democrats, including 4 members of Congress and 30 members of the House of Representatives, have called on the 81-year-old Biden to withdraw from the race. The names of the Democrats who have directly called on Biden not to run again are as follows:

Biden's party, the Democratic Party, holds 213 seats in the House of Representatives and 51 seats in the Senate. The American public will head to the polls on November 5 to elect their next president.
