A 4-day humanitarian pause, which will temporarily halt attacks on Gaza and allow for a hostage exchange and the delivery of humanitarian aid, has begun following an agreement between Hamas and Israel.

The agreement reached between Hamas and Israel has entered into force.

The humanitarian pause in the fighting will last for 4 days, during which 150 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails will be released in exchange for 50 Israeli hostages held by Hamas. The humanitarian pause will also include the entry of aid into Gaza through the Rafah Border Crossing.
