4-year-old child dies after pit bull attack in Germany

A 4-year-old girl has died after being attacked by a pit bull in Germany.

According to reports in the German press, the incident occurred in the Osternienburger Land region near the city of Magdeburg. A pit bull belonging to a family attacked the 4-year-old child who was in the house.

According to information provided by the police, the child, who was seriously injured in the attack, could not be saved despite all interventions.

It was stated that the dog belonged to the mother of the deceased child and lived in the same house as the family. The police announced that the dog had been seized and handed over to an animal shelter.
