It was announced that the teacher's wound was superficial and that there is no danger to their life.

Police reported that an investigation into the incident has been launched and that the attacker and their legal representatives are being questioned.

School principal Irina Kurchatkina stated in a press release that following the incident, police, an ambulance, and a psychologist were called to the school to speak with the student involved in the attack.

Kurchatkina said that the student has been attending the same school since the first grade and that there had been no previous issues regarding their behavior.

Noting that the school administration will investigate how the student brought the knife into the school, Kurchatkina stated that security measures at the entrance will be increased.
