The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 occurred off the coast of Aomori Prefecture. It was stated that the tremor, which occurred off the eastern coast of Aomori at 01:17 local time, took place at a depth of 40 kilometers, while coastal rtsunami warning for the regionswas not issued.
