5 dead, 8 injured due to heavy rainfall in Pakistan

In the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northwestern Pakistan, 5 people lost their lives and 8 were injured due to heavy rainfall.

In a statement regarding the situation, Pakistan's Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) noted that heavy rainfall in some parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province caused roofs to collapse, triggered floods, and led to the closure of some roads.

The statement indicated that 3 children in the Shangla district, and 1 child and 1 adult in the Bajaur district, lost their lives in floods and other incidents caused by the heavy rainfall.

2 CHILDREN MISSING

It was emphasized that 8 people, 5 of whom were children, were injured as a result of floods and roof collapses in the province, and information was shared that 2 children are missing in the floods.

Authorities announced that some roads in the region have been closed due to security precautions.
