Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made a statement following the 5th round of talks between Iran and the US. Regarding the negotiations in the Italian capital, Rome, Araghchi said, "This round was one of the most professional rounds of negotiations we have held so far. We once again expressed the position and principles of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the negotiations. Our position is very clear, and we stand behind this stance."

Emphasizing that he believes they are now better understood by the US side, Araghchi added, "The Omani Foreign Minister tried to produce solutions in this round that would remove existing obstacles and provide progress. Various ideas were discussed."

Regarding the continuation of the negotiations, Araghchi stated, "The talks are too complex to be resolved in two or three meetings, but even being on a reasonable path now is progress in itself. In my opinion, today, especially considering the discussions held and the solutions proposed by Oman to remove obstacles, there is a possibility of progress."
