6.0 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake has struck the North Maluku region of Indonesia.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the earthquake was 38 kilometers northeast of the city of Ternate.

According to initial reports, there was no loss of life or property in the 6.0 magnitude earthquake, which occurred at a depth of approximately 162.5 kilometers.

No tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake.

In Indonesia's West Java province, more than 300 people lost their lives and thousands were injured in a 5.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred last year.
